Ingredients:
o 1 cup water
o 1 cup sugar
o ½ ounce ground allspice
o ½ ounce ground cardamom
Method:
1. Combine sugar and water
in a saucepan and bring to a
boil.
2. Reduce heat and simmer
uncovered stirring occasionally
until mixture reaches a syrup-
like consistency.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Combine cardamom and
allspice in a loose tea filter and
steep the tea for 15 minutes.
5. Strain into an airtight
container.
6. Seal well and refrigerate.
Note: This is a subtle tasting
syrup. For more intense flavor
put three cardamom pods and
three allspice berries in the
container tasting daily until
you are satisfied with the
flavor.
