Flat White Russian

Ingredients:

Cocktail

o 1 ounce J. Wray Jamaican

rum

o ¾ ounce Tia Maria

o 1 espresso chilled

o 1 teaspoon Demerara Syrup

(see: Syrups etc.)

Garnish

o 1 ounce whole milk

o cocoa powder


Method:

1. Stir cocktail ingredients in

an Old-Fashioned glass with

1 or 2 ice cubes.

2. Gently top with milk.

3. Garnish with cocoa

powder.


Comments:

The above differs from the

version found at tiamaria.com.

After our usual rigorous

testing, we settled on the

following changes: We

increased the rum. Surprise,

surprise. We started with

cold espresso to eliminate

the need to shake as dilution

is not your friend here. And

we substituted syrup for

sugar for the same reason.
