Forest for the Trees Cocktail

Ingredients:

Cocktail

o 2 ounces birch leaf infused

Bombay gin*

o ¾ ounce Lillet Blanc

o ½ ounce Chartreuse (green)

Garnish

o lemon twist


Method:

1. Stir cocktail ingredients

over ice in a mixing glass.

2. Serve up in a chilled

cocktail glass.

3. Express lemon peel over

the cocktail and drop in for

garnish.


Comments:

At first glance, you may not

see the cocktail in these

ingredients but it’s in there.

We feature a lot of Chartreuse

and gin cocktails. In all of them

Chartreuse is the prominent

taste. It is in this one too, but of

all of them we feel the Forest

for the Trees tastes the most

natural.


*Combine several ounces

Birchen-Blatt, dried birch

leaves, with 1 pint Bombay

gin in a bottle. Let steep for

at least 24 hours. Then fine

strain and discard solids. Wash

and dry the bottle. Return the

spirit and store where you

would any other spirits.
