Ingredients:
Cocktail
o 2 ounces Flor de Caña Extra
Seco rum
o ½ ounce Luxardo
Maraschino liqueur
o ½ ounce fresh grapefruit
juice
o ½ ounce fresh lime juice
o ¼ ounce Simple Syrup
(see: Syrups etc.)
Garnish
o lime wheel or wedge
Method:
1. Moisten the rim of a
cocktail glass and invert it into
a shallow dish of sugar to coat
the rim.
2. Shake cocktail ingredients
over ice or add ¾ cup of ice to
the cocktail ingredients and
blend for a frozen daiquiri.
3. Strain into the prepared
glass.
4. Garnish with lime wheel
or wedge.
Comments:
This is what the Hemingway
Daiquiri is today. It is similar
to what was created in 1921 for
Hemingway by Constantino
Ribailagua of El Foridita
in Havana. Rumor has it that
Papa didn’t like it. See the
Papa Doble cocktail for his
version. We made ours frozen.
