Orgeat Syrup

Ingredients:

o 12 ounces of almonds

(pulverized)

o 10 ounces sugar

o 12 ounces water

o ½ ounce rose water

o ½ ounce orange blossom

water

o 1 ounce Hennessey VS

Cognac

(optional but suggested)


Method:

1. Bring sugar and water to a

boil stirring to dissolve sugar.

2. Reduce heat add almonds

and simmer, stirring

occasionally, until mixture

reaches a thick syrup-like

consistency.

3. Add florals and remove

from heat.

4. Cover and let steep for 8

hours or overnight.

5. Double strain into an

airtight container discarding

solids.

6. Add Cognac, if using.

7. Seal well and refrigerate.
