Ingredients:
Cocktail
o 3 ½ ounces Flor de Caña
Extra Seco rum
o ¾ ounce Luxardo
Maraschino liqueur
o 1 ounce fresh grapefruit
juice
o 1 ounce fresh lime juice
o ½ ounce Simple Syrup
(see: Syrups etc.)
Garnish
o lime wheel or wedge
Method:
1. Shake cocktail ingredients
over ice.
2. Strain into a martini or
large cocktail glass.
3. Garnish with lime wheel
or wedge.
Comments:
Similar to what Hemingway
suggested the Daiquiri should
be like. Similar in that we use
more than the 6 drops of
Maraschino that Hemingway
would have liked, and we
added simple syrup which
Hemingway would not have
liked. It can also be blended
with cracked ice. Mmm,
