Ingredients:
Cocktail
o 2 ounces Heaven’s Door
Straight Rye whiskey
o ½ ounce Crème de Cassis
o ½ ounce fresh grapefruit
juice
o ½ ounce Rose Petal Syrup
(see: Syrups etc.)
o 1 dash Peychaud’s Bitters
or to taste
Garnish
o ½ grapefruit wheel
Method:
1. Stir cocktail ingredients
over ice in a mixing glass.
2. Serve over ice in an
Old-Fashioned glass.
3. Garnish with ½ grapefruit
wheel.
Comments:
All right, grapefruits aren’t the
easiest things to squeeze, and
you are not going to find Rose
Petal syrup in a supermarket.
You'll need to make your own.
But neither task is all that
difficult either. When they are
mixed with one of Tennessee’s
finest rye whiskeys, you’ll have
a drink that’s well worth the
effort.
