Ingredients:
Cocktail
o 1 teaspoon fresh grated
ginger
o 2 ounces Woodford Reserve
bourbon
o ¾ ounce sake
o 1 dash Simple Syrup
(see: Syrups etc.)
o ½ ounce fresh orange juice
o 1 ounce Fever-Tree Ginger
Beer
Garnish
o orange peel
Method:
1. Muddle ginger in a
cocktail shaker.
2. Add ice and remaining
cocktail ingredients except
soda and shake to chill.
3. Strain into an ice-filled
double Old-Fashioned glass.
4. Top with ginger beer.
5. Garnish with orange peel.
Comments:
As you might imagine, this
cocktail errs on the side of
ginger, but it is not a Mule.
It more closely resembles a
“Fizz” but it’s not quite one
of those either. So, if you
find things that are hard
to define, interesting…
