When Ginger Gets Blue Cocktail

Ingredients:

Cocktail

o 6 – 8 large wild blueberries

or 2 bar spoons of wild

blueberry preserves

o 6 mint leaves

o ½ teaspoon grated ginger

o 1 ¼ ounce Finlandia vodka

o ¼ ounce Pernod Absinthe

Supérieure

o 3 teaspoons fresh lemon

juice

o 1 tablespoon Honey Syrup

(see: Syrups etc.)

o 1 dash of almond extract or

to taste

o 2 ounces Fever-Tree Ginger

Beer

Garnish

o mint sprig


Method:

1. Muddle ginger and berries

or preserves with mint leaves

in a cocktail shaker.

2. Add ice and remaining

cocktail ingredients except

soda and shake to chill.

3. Double strain into an

ice-filled Old-Fashioned glass.

4. Top with ginger beer.

5. Garnish with mint sprig.


Comments:

We enjoyed it with both fruit

and preserves. So, fruit when in

season and preserves when not.
